An American doctor was flown back to the US to be treated for Ebola(埃博拉) last year and declared free of the virus. But he was found to have Ebola disease in his eyeball later.

Dr Crozier said he had a serious pain in his left eye and poor vision about two months after he left hospital in October. His eye even began to lose its blue colour and turned bright green.

After a number of tests, doctors were shocked when they put a needle in his eye and removed some fluid, which was tested to have Ebola virus. Luckily, it was not serious, and Dr Crozier was in good treatment. Over the next few months Dr Crozier's vision returned and his left eye turned blue again.

He got the disease while working in Sierra Leone(塞拉利昂), and was terribly ill when he was sent to Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia in September.

Ebola is already also known to live in semen months after it has gone from the blood. More than 10,000 people have died of Ebola, mainly in West Africa.
