Can you imagine what life would be like without your both legs? Lie in bed, waiting for someone to take care of you or live in self-abandonment, counting your days to the end? Neither! Here is a man living a wonderful life with no legs.
Corporal Temur Dadiani is a 22-year-old soldier. He was seriously injured while serving in Afghanistan. He lost both his legs after standing on an improvised explosive device while serving in Helmand province in August 2011.
Yesterday, “A planche push-up” was held by the Ministry of Defence of Georgia, in Tbilisi. It is a difficult form of exercise which requires good strength and balance in order to hold yourself up using your arms only. Corporal Temur Dadiani has successfully set a new world record by performing 36 planche push-ups in just 38.25 seconds. During his performance, his friends, colleagues, and Vakhtang Kapanadze, Chief of General Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces were watching him, encouraging him, and feeling proud of him.
What’s your feeling after reading this story? What did Corporal Temur Dadiani show you? I will be ashamed of you if you are still complaining your teachers who leave you much homework every day and force you to run many miles on hot days.
