Using small plates helps stop people overeating. Many people use a big plate, they put much food on it. This makes them eat too much. Cambridge University(剑桥大学)says if people use small plates, they will eat less. Americans could cut their calories by up to 29%.

The researchers looked at many people. It is not about how big the food is and how much people eat. When someone is eating too much, we say he is not doing the right thing. Restaurants can help to stop overeating by using small plates. People can also do this at home.
