Many people do not make enough money to buy a house in San Francisco. Prices of house in California can be very high. So, some young people begin making their houses out of shipping container(船运集装箱). It takes a lot of work to make a home from these big boxes. Heather Stewart and 19 other people live and work in a small area. They live in shipping containers and other kinds of small houses. The containers are about six meters long. She and the others are working together to make their community(社区) beautiful.

Heather Stewart and her friend Luke Iseman lived in Oakland. But police asked them to get out there. So they came to San Francisco and made these containers their new homes. Each container is about $2,000. They want to keep the small community secret from police. People in other cities are building shipping container houses, too.
