A "beautiful" 10-year-old girl has died after she was knocked off her bike on Halloween. Brooke Bagley was playing near her home in West Calder on Saturday night when she was hit by a car. The little girl was sent to hospital with serious head injuries but lost her life on Monday. Her mum, Tracyann Brennan, is very sad and being comforted by relatives. All of them called Brooke "the most beautiful girl".
Her great-aunt, Margaret Brannan, wrote: "No words can describe how my cousin Tracyann is feeling right now. Brooke is the most beautiful girl I have ever met. God is so unfair. "
Police Scotland released a statement on behalf of Brooke's family. It said: "Brooke was a bright and intelligent young girl who was full of life, with many friends. And she is interested in Chinese. She always tells stories to the others about Chinese. She also likes dancing and singing. She is very active and is loved by all the teachers and the students. She will be sadly missed by her family, her friends and all who knew her."
"She was born in England but kept in touch with her family when she came to live in Scotland. Her mum is completely devastated after this has happened. We all are."
