China’s hospital ship Peace Ark(和平方舟) got to San Diego, Southern California, on Tuesday. It will stay there for five days. The people there are very happy to see China’s hospital ship. “It’s a beautiful ship and the crew are good. I like them so much,” an American officer says. “We hope people can come and visit our hospital ship. When you stay with the crew in the room on the ship, we have one language, and we get to understand each other,” he says.

The Peace Ark will visit four other places—Mexico, Barbados, Grenada and Peru. This is Peace Ark’s fifth time to visit foreign countries. It started from its home Zhoushan in 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2014. China built the hospital ship Ark Peace. The ship is a travelling hospital at sea. It helps people from many countries.
