在中国一年的感受

121112.png

Last week, Americans celebrated Thanksgiving Day. It's always been one of my favorite holidays not just because I love eating mashed potatoes(土豆泥) and pie. I also love spending time with family. I moved to China a year ago. I found that living in China for over a year was very happy and it made me realize how thankful I am to them.

1. I’m grateful for American breakfasts.

Give me French toast, coffee cake and cold ice-cream for any meal, and I will be a happy woman. I’m a huge breakfast lover. And now in China I can eat a lot of American breakfasts in the restaurant or in the dinning hall.

2. I’m glad to accept the help.

As an American, I feel like I should be able to finish everything by myself. And I’m not very good at asking for or accepting help. But Chinese children like to work together to take care of each other. But now any time I find myself lost, I would like to ask for help.

3. I’m grateful for clean air.

I was very happy when I went home for the summer and got to soak in some pure Washington air. Luckily, in Beijing I can enjoy the fresh water and clean air, too.
