Women get maternity leave after giving birth, so should their husbands also get time off to take care of their newborns?
Cody(China)
In China, men can get paid paternity leave from 3 to 30 days according to different places. I think it's fair to let the father stay home and help as well. Those first couple of weeks are pretty tired for both parents, and even more stressful if the father has to work. I think the mother needs a lot of rest, and she can't rest if she has to be alone with the baby by herself all day.

I feel lucky to have been able to take two weeks of paternity leave here in the UK. Our system regarding paternity and maternity leave isn't as perfect as many European countries, but it really made such a difference being able to have those two weeks.
Amy(Sweden)
Yes, absolutely! It is great for fathers to be able to bond with their children by staying at home for a while, and also realize what it is like to take care of children all day. In my native Sweden, both parents receive 480 days' leave – including 390 at around 80% of their salary – for each child, with 60 days reserved for each parent and the remaining 360 shared as the couple choose.
