Last month, I got an email from my friend David. He asked me to go to Tanzania to train their software(软件) engineers. Their company is in Dar es Salaam, a beautiful coastal city to the west of the Indian Ocean.
I left for Tanzania at 6 pm Tuesday. After more than 19 hours of air travel, I was finally here at Dar es Salaam Airport. The temperature was hot as usual—more than 30 degrees. I felt shortness of breath because of the heat in the hall. I stood in the hall waiting for the passport checking.
When it was finally my turn, I handed my passport to the worker in front of me. He had a close look at my passport. Then he asked for the purpose of my stay. I told him I came for a business trip here. Then he asked me the same question again and again. That was something I would never forget.
I stayed in the city for about two weeks. During my stay there, David took me to a nearby beach. We had a wonderful walk along the shore and it had left a deep impression on me. I was also impressed by the water and the deep blue sky. I’d love to visit the city again.
