Some students from Shijiazhuang Middle School are talking about whether the children of migrant workers(农民工) should study in the cities or study in their hometowns. Here are their opinions.
Liu Qiang
The children of migrant workers could get better education in the cities. The teachers and schools are better there. They could live with their parents, too.
Zhao Pingping
Children should live with their parents. Parents can look after kids by themselves. The children of migrant workers may feel lonely if they stay in their hometowns. Some children in the isolated areas may not go to school.
Liu Ying
It’s easy for children to go to school in their hometowns. In the cities, things are much more difficult. First, there are so few schools for the children of migrant workers. Second, their parents may have to change jobs often. This means the kids may have to change schools a lot, too.
Ling Ling
The children of migrant workers may find it hard to adapt to lives in the cities. In city school, they may get bullied(欺负). Also, these children may fall behind the other students in the class because of the different levels of education.
Han Yan
Studying in the cities costs a lot more than studying in the countryside. The cost may add to the burdens of their parents.
