The minions(小黄人) are taking over the world! Or they are at least taking over the movie theater.
The yellow creatures once played a small role in Despicable Me, a movie about a villain(恶棍) Gru and how he’s trying to become the best villain. The minions serve Gru as he attempts to steal the moon. But now the minions are starring in their own movie, explaining their life before they met Gru.
In the movie, minions keep making mistakes and messing everything up for their masters. So they have to keep on finding new villains to serve. That’s why they go to a villain meeting.
Minions are funny without even trying. They are one or two-eyed, wear suspenders and speak only gibberish. Fans around the world may not understand their language, but they can understand them by their body language, tone of voice and humor.
Minions make mistakes and are easily distracted, which people face in their own lives. The funny thing is that these creatures are thought to be bad. However, there is a sense of innocence(纯真) about them. Even though they serve villains, you can’t help but love them.
And you can’t get away from them either. Minions are everywhere whether in toy form or on T-shirts. They are so popular that they have become a part of our culture.
