Zootopia is a 2016 American film that is produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. It was released on February 10 and March 4, 2016 in France.
The Zootopia is a very special city. Animals from every environment live together — a place where no matter what you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when policewoman Judy Hopps arrives, she discovers that protecting all the animals is not so easy.
One day, when Judy Hopps was in the city, Mrs Otterton, an otter(水獭), said her husband was missing. Hopps volunteered and agreed to catch the criminals(罪犯). Hopps asked the fox Wilde to help her.
Wilde realized that the city’s traffic camera system might have captured how Mr Otterton disappeared. Hopps and Wilde discovered Mayor Lionheart was the criminal. In the end, they caught Lionheart.
According to Walt Disney company, Zootopia will be different from other animal films, where animals either live in the natural world or in the human world. To do it well, the film crew was sent to Kenya, Africa, as well as Disney's Animal Kingdom, on a research trip, where they studied various mammal(哺乳动物) wildlife. Live animals, such as sloths and foxes were also brought into the studio building for further study.
