My parents are visiting my grandparents. My 5-year-old brother and I are in our apartment（公寓）. I’m doing my homework and my young brother is watching TV. Then someone knocks at the door. My young brother runs to the door. He thinks that our parents are back. He opens the door.  

A tall man stands outside. He asks, “Is your mother or father at home?” 

Without thinking, my brother says, “No.” 

“Would you like to buy some books?” the man asks. 

“No, thanks,” I say. Then I close the door. But he forces（强迫）his way into our house. He takes out a knife and tells us to keep quiet. Soon, he starts to look for money. I secretly call the police for help with my cell phone. The police come and help us. They thank us and take the man to the police station.
