Everyone's nose is in a different shape. Researchers may know the reason. They say it could be because of the climate. People living in warm, humid(湿润的) areas have wider noses. People in cold, dry places have narrower noses. The nose makes sure the air we breathe is warm enough. It is like a temperature controller.
Researchers looked at the noses of over 2,600 Africans, Asians and Europeans. They checked the width and height of their nose, and the distance between the nostrils(鼻孔). It is difficult to know how the shape of our nose will change in the future.
