20 years ago, Jose Alberto Gutierrez found a book in a rubbish bin. It is a copy of the classic novel Anna Karenina. It was the start of a wonderful book collection.
Today, the 55-year-old has more than 25,000 books. They are put on the ground floor of his home. And he keeps his home open to the public as a free library.
As Jose's collection grow, he becomes more and more famous. The other drivers who used to think that Jose was crazy, now help out. They bring him books they find in the rubbish. Local newspapers take him as "Lord of the Books" and this helps bring more money given by other people.
"Lots of people laughed at me at the beginning. They would laugh when they found out about my project. But now 20 years later, they are surprised," says Jose. He said his dream is to change his rubbish truck for a truck full of books, and travel around the country.
