Sometimes you feel tired. Sometimes you feel sad. Sometimes you don’t want to talk. Sometimes you don’t know what to do. Everyone has his tough times. And during these times, a warm and comfortable hug may mean a lot to him.

A Japanese company designed a special chair, the “tranquility chair”. This special chair is always ready to give a comfortable hug.

The designer built the chair in the shape of a larger-than-life fabric doll with a friendly face and a fetching hat. But more importantly, it has long arms and it can wrap around the user like a hug.

“It makes you feel safe. Anyone can use it.” said a spokesman for UniCare. The company is selling the chair at the International Home Care and Rehabilitation Exhibition in Tokyo. It costs 46,000 yen (US$419) and there’s a version for wheelchair users.
