A little child in China has been killed and some of his body was eaten by a pig after he climbed into the animal's pen while his parents were just away for a second.
Two-year-old Wei Tao, families like to call him Keke, had been playing in the garden of his parents' house,in eastern China's Jiangsu Province, when they went inside for a moment.
Keke may see the little pigs and thought they were like his toys, so he climbed into the pen to reach the baby pigs, the mother pig bit the child to protect her babies.
Hearing their child's screams, the parents rushed back outside but found they were too late.
The heart-broken father Sun Tai, 25, said: 'We had been inside for just a couple of minutes when we heard the screams. We came out to see the pig about 8 metres away eating Keke's head.'
Other people came rushing to the mother pig, they tied the pig to a tree before killing it and cutting its open. Inside they found pieces of Keke's head bone and hair, which they showed to police to prove the pig had killed the child.
The leader of the village said: 'This is a terrible tragedy(悲剧). We had to cut the pig open to prove to the police that it had indeed killed and eaten Keke.'
‘A police spokesman said: female pigs are often kind but pregnant pigs and ones who have just given birth can be very protective and turn aggressive(侵略性的)towards anything they think to be dangerous to their babies. We need farmers to keep their pigs in their pens(猪圈).'
