Xavier Bouget is an 80-year-old man. He comes from Brittany, France. He has an unusual friend: a pigeon(鸽子).

One day, Bouget saw a baby pigeon in the street. The pigeon wanted to fly away from a cat. It fell to the ground. Bouget told his wife about it. She asked him why he did not bring the pigeon home. Bouget went back. He brought the pigeon home.

Bouget called the pigeon Blanchon. Bouget and Blanchon became best friends. The bird sat on the man’s shoulder all day. Bouget says that every person can have an animal as a best friend. The most important thing is to respect the animal. Bouget watches the bird. He cares about it.
