Italy wins the European Championship (欧洲杯) 2020 at Wembley, UK. The final match happened last Sunday.
Italy played against England. England hasn’t won the European Championship since 1966. The English fans were very excited. They were sure that England would win. But Italy’s team was very strong. They won the last 33 matches before the final. However, England scored (得分) after only two minutes. This made Italy’s team surprised. Italy scored in the 67th minute.
The score was 1-1 at the end of the match. There must be overtime (加时赛). Then nobody scored in overtime. It was time for a penalty shootout (点球大战). Every team kicked five penalties. England scored two penalties. Italy scored three penalties. This meant that Italy was the winner.
