Turkey has its first astronaut(宇航员) in space. His name is Alper Gezeravcı.
He and three others are on a trip to space. They travel from Florida on a SpaceX capsule to arrive at the International Space Station (ISS). Astronauts will do experiments(实验) in space for about two weeks. They want to know how space affects(影响) people’s health.
The trip shows that many countries want to explore space. It is important for science. But they also want to show that they are good enough.
