Three Asiatic lion babies were born at London Zoo last month. Their mother is seven years old. She is a great mother to her new litter.
All the time, zoo keepers (饲养员) watch the three-week-old babies growing from a camera in their home. They saw them walk for the first time! The keepers are happy, because all three babies are getting stronger every day.
The zoo says they haven’t named the babies yet, but they will find out if they are boys or girls in the next few weeks. It will wait until they meet their animal doctor for the first time, when they are 10 to 11 weeks old.
The keeper Kathryn Sanders said, “We are so happy to tell everyone that we have three new Asiatic lion babies at London Zoo.” She added: “The babies will stay in the room with their mother for some time yet, but as it gets warmer, we might see them playing out.”
