Bob Gist went fishing on Lake Grenada with his friend and their fishing guide. The lake is very big, over a mile and a half wide in some places. While on the lake, they saw many dogs swimming far from the shore (岸).
The three men were worried and decided to check on the dogs. When they got closer, they saw that the dogs were everywhere and they were in great danger. They looked scared. The men wondered where all these dogs came from and why they were in the middle of the lake.
They soon found out that the dogs were part of a Fox Run event at the lake. The dogs had numbers painted on them and wore expensive collars (项圈). They had chased a deer into the water and got lost.
Bob and his team quickly started rescuing the dogs. They pulled as many as they could into their boat and took them to shore. Their worried owners were waiting there. They made several trips to save 34 dogs.
Just when they thought they were done, one owner said his GPS tracker (追踪器) showed four dogs were still in the water. Bob and his team went back with the owner and found the four dogs. The dogs were very tired and almost sinking, but they managed to save them just in time.
