The Mid-Autumn Festival is a holiday about enjoying the moon. It falls on the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese calendar (历法). This year it is on September 17. Chinese people have a holiday from 15th to 17th.
During the Mid-Autumn Festival, families get together. They have a big dinner. They also have mooncakes, fruits and watch the full moon. People usually tell stories about Chang’e.
