It is 2024 now. Li Yueyue is 36 years old. She founded Botan in Shanghai in 2019. Botan is a jewelry (珠宝) company.
Li went to university in the United Kingdom. Then she worked at a bank in Shanghai. In 2014, she started to take jewelry courses. She opened her own business later. She began buying accessories (配饰) from Pandora and delivering them to her customers. She was handling more than 50 orders a day. Then she started to pick stones, design and sell finished products.
When she started the business, she wanted success very much and wanted to see results quickly. But as time went on, she realized that success in business takes time. Looking to the future, she hopes to create unique pieces through the designs and services, although Botan is not a large company.
