During long holidays, kids like to stay up late. But it’s important not to change their usual bedtime too much. Staying up late a few times is okay, but if it becomes a habit, it might be hard to adjust (调节) when school starts again. Studies show that keeping the same sleep and wake times every day, even on weekends, is important. This helps young people get enough sleep and stay healthy.
If bedtimes and wake times are very different between school days and long holidays, we can move wake-up times earlier little by little before school starts. But it’s best to keep the usual bedtime during holidays.
