放长假期间,孩子可以随意熬夜睡懒觉吗?


Long holidays are a great time for kids to stay up late and sleep in. However, it’s important not to stray too far from their regular bedtime routine. A few late nights won’t hurt, but if they become the norm, it can be hard to get back on track when school starts.

Sleep science research supports the need for consistent (一致的) bed and wake times throughout the week and weekend. This is not just because it makes sure that young people get enough sleep; more importantly, it helps keep our body clock regular. This is best for our quality of sleep and general health.
If bedtimes and wake times are very different between school weeks and weekends, it can affect mood, health, social activities, and school performance. Allowing kids to stay up late during holidays can cause them to go to bed later each night, which might mess up their body clock. 
To fix this, gradually move their wake-up times earlier before school starts. It’s best to keep their body clock stable during the holidays by sticking to a regular schedule. This way, they’ll be ready for school without needing professional help.
