Today (December 7, 2024), the women’s final of the FIS Freeski Halfpipe World Cup took place at a park in Chongli, north China. Gu Ailing, also known as Eileen Gu,won it.
Competitors had to complete three runs. The best score from any of their runs would decide their final ranking (排名). Gu Ailing didn’t do well in her first run. She fell and only scored 26.25 points. However, she didn’t lose heart. She achieved the game’s highest 90 in her second run. She won the gold medal! Gu’s teammate, Li Fanghui, scored 82.75 points from her first run. She won the silver medal. The bronze medal went to an American competitor. Her name is Svea Irving. Her best score was 80 from her third run.
