三个国家选出新领导人

Several countries have gotten new leaders in the last week(2021). Today, NFK looks at new leaders in the Czech Republic, Sweden, and Honduras.

The Czech Republic

On Sunday, the president of the Czech Republic, Milos Zeman, decided to choose Pert Fiala for the country’s new prime minister(总理/首相). Mr. Fiala, 57, leads a group of parties which won the country’s election(选举) in early October.

Sweden

Ms. Andersson will be Sweden’s first woman prime minister — 100 years after the first election in which women were able to vote(投票). Ms. Andersson, 54, studied in Sweden, Austria and the US before entering politics and has before worked in the prime minister’s office as an adviser, a worker giving professional advice.

Honduras

On Tuesday, the National party admitted that Ms. Castro had won the election, becoming the president of Honduras. Ms. Castro has promised change, saying, “There will be no more misusing(滥用) of power in this country.” However, there aren’t enough jobs in this country. It will make Ms Castro’s job a difficult one. Ms. Castro’s husband, Manuel Zelaya, is expected to play an important part in the new government. Mr. Zelaya used to be the president of Honduras, but he was forced out when soldiers took control of the country by force in 2009.
