Stress can be reduced or managed in healthy ways. It’s helpful to use the following ways.

Avoid unnecessary stress. If someone stresses you, try to spend less time with him or her. If the heavy traffic makes you upset, take another longer but less-travelled way.  
If you can’t avoid a stressful situation, try to change it. Express your feelings to others, be flexible, and try to find a balance between work and family life.
If you can’t change the stress, change yourself. Instead of getting angry about traffic, think of it as a chance to relax, listen to your favorite music, or enjoy some quiet time. 
However, there is always some stress that can’t be avoided, like losing a loved one or getting really sick. In these cases, the best way to deal with stress is to accept things as they are.
