中国影史票房榜首!《哪吒2》总票房超62亿元

As of today, Ne Zha 2’s box office revenue (收入) had exceeded 6.2 billion yuan, becoming the highest-grossing film of all time in China.

Produced by Chengdu Coco Cartoon Co., Ltd. and distributed by Beijing Enlight Pictures, the film came out on January 29, right during the Lunar New Year break. In just eight days, the new film has surpassed the total gross of the first Ne Zha movie in 2019 (¥5.04 billion). Ne Zha 2 broke the record for the highest single-day gross of a Chinese animated film, surpassing ¥700 million in just a day.

Inspired by the tales of the 16th century novel Investiture of the Gods, Ne Zha 2 is directed by Jiaozi (Yu Yang), who also directed the first Ne Zha movie. The first Ne Zha movie made $725 million worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing animated film in China and the highest-grossing animated film not produced in the U.S. that year, as well as the fourth highest-grossing animated film worldwide in 2019 and the fourth-highest grossing Chinese film of all time.

One of the highlights of Ne Zha 2 is its stunning animation. The filmmakers use advanced technology to create breathtaking visuals, from epic battle scenes to detailed landscapes. The characters are designed with care, blending traditional Chinese elements with modern styles. This makes the film visually appealing to both young and older audiences. Another important aspect of the movie is its cultural significance. Investiture of the Gods is a classic piece of Chinese literature, and Ne Zha is one of its most beloved characters. By adapting this story, the film introduces Chinese mythology to a global audience while preserving its cultural roots.

According to its international release schedule on IMDb, Ne Zha 2 is set to arrive in the U.S. and Canada on February 14, as well as in Australia, New Zealand and other Oceania markets on Feb. 13. With projections now pointing toward a final total of 9.4 to 9.5 billion yuan, Ne Zha 2 has firmly secured its place as the highest-earning film in China’s movie history.
