美“蛋荒”仍在持续中

The U.S. is facing an egg shortage. Bird flu is spreading fast, making many chickens sick. Fewer chickens mean fewer eggs. This makes prices rise. In 2024, egg prices went up by 65%. For example, twelve eggs cost $2.52 in January, but $4.15 in December.

Stores and restaurants are adjusting (调整). Some stores limit how many eggs people can buy. Waffle House now charges (收费) 50 cents extra per egg. No one knows how long the shortage will last.
