Yang Yu: From Medical Student to Movie Maker
Yang Yu made the popular movie Ne Zha. While studying to be a doctor, he secretly learned animation. After school, he stayed home for three years without a job. Li Ziqi: Sharing China’s Traditions
Li Ziqi makes beautiful videos about rural Chinese life. After taking a three-year break, she returned with a video about traditional lacquer art (漆艺). Her work reminds us that keeping traditions alive is important. Even though she’s famous, she stays true to her love for Chinese culture.
