Last Friday, China and Pakistan did something special. They signed a plan to train Pakistani astronauts for China’s Tiangong space station. This will be the first time China has trained astronauts from another country. It shows China’s space technology is very great, and China wants to help other countries learn about space.
Under the plan, Pakistan will choose an astronaut in one year. The astronaut will study in China. After a few years, he or she will go to the Tiangong space station with Chinese astronauts. China and Pakistan have worked together in space for a long time. In 1990, China helped Pakistan send its first satellite to space. In 2024, a small Pakistani satellite flew to the moon on China’s Chang’e-6 probe (探测器).
Experts say China is doing the right thing. Some rich countries keep space chances for themselves, but China wants to help poorer countries. “This lets countries without space programs join big projects,” said space expert Wang Yanan.
The Tiangong space station is now fully working. It will become a lab for astronauts from many countries to do experiments. This is part of China’s dream to make the world better. Professor Kang Guohua said, “China helps developing countries go to space as a team.” By sharing its space station, China teaches others and asks more countries to explore space together.
