Tan Xiaofan is 27-year-old. He is from Guangdong. He loves parkour (跑酷)! As a kid, he climbed trees and walls. In middle school, he started training in martial arts and parkour. His family wanted him to have a stable(稳定的) job, like a barber (理发师), but he refused. He said he felt alive when moving.
Tan posts many parkour videos online. He is now a Douyin star with 2.4 million followers! A film called I Am What I Am made him cry because it showed his struggles and dreams.
In a video, Tan dances with fireworks during a datiehua show. And in another video, he is doing lion dance jumps on poles. “Traditional arts need new fun,” he says. Tan’s goal? To make people curious about Chinese culture through parkour!
