中国首位!师炜,加油

Shi Wei, a 28-year-old racer from China, is the first Chinese driver in the F1 Academy. During the F1 Chinese Grand Prix (世界一级方程式锦标赛中国大奖赛) in Shanghai from March 21 to 23, she is racing against top female drivers in the F1 Academy. “This is my dream!” she said. She hopes to inspire young people and show the world Chinese women’s confidence.
Shi has won races in China, like the 2024 F4 Championship. A Chinese motorsport leader said her success encourages more women to try racing. To honor China’s first F1 driver, Zhou Guanyu, Shi uses his car number “24”. Zhou cheered for her, saying, “Show the world Chinese drivers’ spirit!” Shi’s racing suit mixes traditional Chinese designs, like Qipao dresses and blue-white patterns, with modern style. “I want to share our culture,” she said.
Racing is hard. Drivers face hot temperatures and heavy cars. “It teaches me to never give up,” Shi shared. She also loves diving and rock climbing. Shi posts videos online to inspire others. “Few women raced when I started. Now, more are joining!” she said.
