Cao Lei works in a university in Tianjin. He teaches Myanmar (缅甸) language.
A big earthquake happened in Myanmar on March 28, 2025. Cao helped at once. He joined other students and teachers to translate (翻译) messages online. They marked important locations (位置) on maps and shared them with rescuers (救援者). They helped rescuers understand where people needed help.
Cao worked over 32 hours in just one weekend. He checked news and social media (社交媒体) in Myanmar language. Then he translated them quickly. He said, “Every message is urgent. We must work fast to save lives.”
Cao worked in Myanmar for 4 years. Now, he feels it’s his duty to help. Thanks to his team, Chinese rescuers saved six people in Myanmar.
