Grga Brkic was with two other hikers(徒步旅行者) and his eight-month-old Alaskan Malamute(阿拉斯加雪橇犬), North, in the Velebit mountains in Croatia. At that time, Brkic fell 150 meters down a slope(斜坡) and was not able to move. The other two hikers could not reach him and called for help. The dog North didn’t leave Brkic’s side.

“Friendship and love between man and dog have no boundaries(界限),” Croatia’s mountain rescue service said in a Facebook post.

The dog curled(蜷缩) up on Brkic and warmed him during the rescue. It lasted 13 hours. 27 first responders(急救人员) finally reached Brkic, nearly 1,800 meters above sea level.

“The minutes and seconds before they arrived were so slow,” Brkic said. “This little dog made a real miracle.”
