10-year-old Megan Ragucci was told with Alopecia Universalis(普遍性脱发) in the first grade, an autoimmune(自身免疫的) disease which causes total body hair loss.
Megan and her mother Jenn Ragucci are old customers at Sunrise Bagels in Wyckoff. Earlier this month, owner Sam Aggarwal came to Jenn and told her he wanted to shave(剃) his head to match Megan. “He did this only because he feels the world needs more kindness and he doesn’t want Meg to feel alone,” Jenn said.
So Megan and Jenn met Sam and his wife at a local hair salon where a friend of Jenn shaved Sam’s head. “Sam and his wife did this only out of kindness,” says Jenn. “They didn’t want any attention or anything out of it, just a smile from Megan was enough. This couple is a beautiful couple with the most genuine (真诚的) hearts.”
Jenn says life for Megan can be difficult at times. “She can’t go anywhere without someone looking at her for a long time or asking if she’s sick,” she said. “She has experienced some of the world’s unkindness, so when someone goes above and beyond to show her she’s not alone, people are still kind… it just means the world to our family!”
