10.11秒!“00 后” 李泽洋全运百米圆梦夺金

On the evening of November 17, the men’s 100m final at the 15th National Games took place at the Guangdong Olympic Sports Center. Li Zeyang from Hubei Province claimed the gold medal with a time of 10.11 seconds, becoming the first “post-00s” champion in the event’s history. Wang Shengjie from Shandong won silver in 10.15 seconds, while Zeng Keli from Guangxi took bronze in 10.16 seconds. Zhejiang’s Xie Zhenye missed the final due to injury.

Born in 2000 in Dingzhou, Hebei, Li started his professional training in 2016 after winning the 100m and 200m titles at his high school sports meeting. Showing both talent and hard work, he broke the 11-second mark in the 100m just one year later. In 2018, he was admitted to Wuhan University with excellent academic (学术的) and sports performance, earning the title of “top student athlete”. He won three gold medals at the 2019 National Youth Games and joined the national training team, even training intensively in the US for half a year. However, his career wasn’t smooth — he went through an injury but never gave up, returning strong in 2024 to win the national championship silver medal.

Now, at the 15th National Games, he has proven his ability and strong will with a gold medal. After the race, Li expressed excitement, calling the gold “a big surprise” as he hadn’t expected to win.

This gold medal is not only a big moment in his own career, but also a sign that a new generation of Chinese sprinters is rising.
