香港大埔突发火灾

A very big fire broke out in Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, Hong Kong. The fire started at 2:51 in the afternoon on November 26, 2025 and grew very big quickly.

Public videos showed big flames covering the scaffolding (脚手架) on the outside wall of Wang Cheong House. Thick smoke rose up into the sky, and people saw some building materials falling down. The fire spread very fast. It quickly moved to nearby Wang Tai House and Wang Shing House, and finally covered other buildings in that area.

Many emergency workers came to help. There were 767 firefighters with 128 fire engines and 57 ambulances. Also, 400 police officers worked hard to rescue people. They tried to put out the fire and save those who were trapped inside.

Since the fire spread so quickly, officials had to raise the alert (警报) level step by step. First, it was raised to Level 3 at 3:02 pm. Then, it went up to Level 4 at 3:34 pm. Finally, by 6:22 pm, it was escalated to the highest Level 5. As of 6:50 am on November 27, 2025, 44 people died and 58 were injured. Rescue teams worked through the night. The government leader said they will use all resources to help everyone and find out why this terrible fire happened.
