My first month in London has passed and it was great. I have rented (租) a room and shared it with another exchange student. My roommate is a Canadian girl named Sofia and she’s really friendly. Last Sunday, she showed me around the city. We two girls walked along the Thames and visited one museum after another. At lunchtime, Sofia suggested fish and chips, and I found it delicious. We had a really good time together.
Sofia knows the city well because this is her fifth time visiting London. She expects to visit China someday. Beijing, the capital of China, is on the top of her list. She dreams about visiting the places of interest in Beijing, from the Palace Museum to the Great Wall. What attracts (吸引) her most is Chinese food, especially Beijing duck.
How are you recently? You mentioned that your cousin was ill last week. I hope she will get well soon.
