世界最长高速公路隧道通车
The world’s longest expressway tunnel (高速公路隧道) is now open in China! It is in Xinjiang, called the Tianshan Shengli Tunnel. Cars started using it on December 26.
The tunnel is very special because it goes through the Tianshan Mountains. It connects (连接) the north and south of Xinjiang.
Before, people drove on mountain roads for many hours. Now, with the new tunnel, it takes only 20 minutes to travel between the north and south of Xinjiang. It is faster and safer.
