Nie Weiping was born in 1952. He learned to play Go when he was a little boy.
In 1973, he joined the Chinese national Go team. He won many games. In the 1980s, he beat 11 top Japanese players. People called him “Go Master”.
Nie Weiping was a good coach. He taught many great players. He helped Chinese Go become famous all over the world.
