A 7-year-old girl named Mia has been praised as a hero. Her quick reaction helped her father get timely medical care when he was in danger.
On Wednesday night, Mia was at home with her father, Mr. Dates, having a peaceful evening. After checking on Mia upstairs, Mr. Dates walked down the stairs but suddenly slipped. He fell down several steps and hit his head against the wall.
Mia stayed calm when she saw her father lying on the ground in pain. She immediately took his phone and called 911. When medical workers Kevin and Bianca Rosas arrived, they found the scene chaotic (混乱的), but Mia’s calmness surprised them a lot.
She quickly locked the family dog in its cage, found the house keys, unlocked the door, and guided the medical workers to her father. Kevin later said that the scene was chaotic with the dog barking, but Mia’s calm focus made a difference. “Without her quick actions, we might have wasted precious time reaching Mr. Dates,” he added.
