Bamboo grows really fast.While trees take more than 10 years to grow big, bamboo only needs 4 to 6 years.This means people can have many bamboos without having to plant new ones.
Now, more bamboo products are popular in the markets, restaurants and hotels. In markets, bamboo products can be seen more often. It’s made into baskets, chairs and even toys for children. Plastic bags have also been replaced by bags made from 60% bamboo powder (粉末) .These bamboo-based bags can break down(分解) within three months and yet they are stronger than plastic bags. Bamboo-made tableware (餐具) is used in more and more restaurants and hotels.
Using bamboo instead of plastic helps our society a lot.
