在读研究生教成人骑车2年赚27万元
“Do adults need to learn to ride bikes?” “Can you make money teaching it?” Many people were surprised when Li, a graduate student (在读研究生) from Shanghai University of Sport, started his business — teaching adults how to ride bikes.
Li’s business started by accident in spring 2023. He and his friend studied sports education in university. They worked part time, teaching children basketball and other sports. One day, a mother asked them for help with her bike riding. After they helped, she told her friends about their service. Soon, bike-teaching became their main business.
Most students are 30 to 40 years old. Some need to ride to work because their home is about 1 or 2 kilometers from the subway station. Bikes save time. Others learn because their company has group activities, or they missed learning as children.
They teach with “learning + doing”. The course has two classes (4 hours total). It costs 200 yuan per hour. They teach safely and no one has got hurt. In two years, they taught nearly 700 students and made about 270,000 yuan.
Li will finish school in 2026. He wants to teach better and start his business in more cities like Shanghai and Hangzhou. He hopes more people can learn to ride bikes safely and happily.
