In a small forest, there lived a little sparrow named Lulu. She was very small and weak. Every day, she tried to build a warm home, but the wind always blew her twigs (细枝) away. “I’m too small. I can never build a good home,” Lulu said sadly.
Nearby, there was a tall oak tree. He saw Lulu’s trouble and said gently, “Little sparrow, don’t give up. You may be small, but you have a strong heart. Let’s work together.” Lulu looked up at the big oak tree and shook her head. “You are so strong, but I’m not. I can’t help you at all,” she said.
The oak tree smiled. “You can help me keep the insects away. And I can protect you from the wind and rain. We need each other.” Lulu thought for a minute and agreed. Every morning, she flew around the oak tree and ate the insects that hurt the tree. The oak tree used his thick branches to shelter Lulu from the wind.
One day, a big storm came. The wind blew hard and the rain poured down. Lulu was scared, but the oak tree held her tightly with his branches. “Don’t be afraid. I’m here,” he said. After the storm, Lulu’s home was safe, and the oak tree was healthy too.
Lulu learned an important lesson: ___▲___. With hard work and cooperation (合作), we can do great things. From then on, she lived happily with the oak tree, and they helped each other every day.
