Chinese President Xi Jinping has advised young people not to stay up late or become too stressed at work when meeting the country's county officials(县级官员). The advice has got heated response from Internet users on microblog Weibo after the video were online.
In the video, Xi talked about the huge pressures county officials must face, speaking from his own experience as a county official in his early years. "I wanted to do my job well so much that I often stayed up, but also fell ill quite often," he said.
He came to know that even if there was too much work to do, one can only do one piece of work a time. Later, Xi changed his schedule, making it a rule to go to bed before midnight everyday, starting over the next day.
The video has received more than 8,000 "thumbs-up" (点赞)by microbloggers. User Linxiaojianxia agreed Xi's advice saying it is true that "We should leave whatever is unfinished by midnight to the next day." A microblogger "Mengxie" said in discontent with her own job, "No one wants to stay up late working, but it happens if you choose the wrong job."
