It is 2026 now. Emily and Olivia are sisters. What started as a simple idea between them has become a touching story of love and courage.
15 years ago, Emily’s life changed suddenly. She became paralyzed (瘫痪) from the neck down. Doctors could not cure her. Because her spinal cord (脊髓) was badly damaged, Emily could not use her hands. It was a big challenge for her, but she never gave up. In 2022, Emily found a new way to express herself: she taught herself to paint only with her mouth. Olivia wanted to support her sister, and since Emily did not like painting on paper, Olivia had a good idea.
Olivia decided to learn pottery so that Emily could paint on the pottery instead of paper. Soon, Olivia started making pottery pieces, and Emily decorated them with her paintings. Their creative work got much attention online, and videos of their process and artwork spread on social media. They have a social media page called “Wheely Good Ceramics”. “Wheely” is a funny name because Emily uses a wheelchair, and it sounds like “really”.
