On April 8th, a very touching reunion took place in Chengdu, Sichuan. Eight years later, Ms. Gao finally met the kind woman who had donated bone marrow (骨髓) to her.
Eight years ago, Ms. Gao was seriously ill and needed a bone marrow transplant to save her life. She and her family were worried and tried hard to find a matching donor. A kind-hearted woman learned about Ms. Gao’s situation and decided to donate bone marrow without hesitation. To make the donation go well, she delayed (推迟) her wedding. Her selfless act deeply moved Ms. Gao’s family.
In the following years, Ms. Gao and the woman kept in touch by writing letters and sending gifts. They shared small happiness and troubles in daily life, but never met face to face. Their friendship grew deeper as time passed by.
In 2023, they met by chance on a short-video platform. When Ms. Gao saw the familiar face online, she was too excited to speak. Both of them looked forward to meeting in person.
In 2026, their dream came true. When they met, they hugged tightly without many words. Now Ms. Gao has fully recovered. She built a “Love Hut” to offer free rooms for poor patients’ families from other places. This 8-year reunion shows the power of love and will warm more people.
